Summer run steelhead season

Which is maybe a bit unfair, because I don’t feel like being done with spring salmon.  There are still some pretty good numbers of springers coming in.  I left a pool yesterday with some big chrome ones rolling in it and wish I was back there now.   BUT, tomorrow we will fish for summer steelhead.  Streamer fishing for trout has been good, they don’t seem too interested in dry’s yet.  A few sockeye, and yes, coho, have showed up already, to add to the variety.

These summer steelhead can't wait for the season to open!

And a wild one!

And another one, you get the idea.

We have a lot of open rivers, some exceptionally cool fish and some open dates.
